School of Natural and Built Environments, University of South Australia The School of Natural and Built Environments commenced operation in January 2004. It encompasses environmental sciences, park management, civil engineering, construction management, geoinformatics, planning, and project management disciplines. The school provides local and trans-national coursework programs, and undertakes research to support improved environmental and socio-economic sustainability. The School also hosts the University’s Transport Systems Centre, and is involved in several national Cooperative Research Centres. The new school has been created by an amalgamation of the majority of the disciplines in three former schools: · Environmental and Recreation Management Geoscience, Minerals and Civil Engineering Geoinformatics, Planning and Building In the transition phase from the old structure to the new, there will be no change to program codes and arrangements, and students will continue to enrol using the existing information and processes.
